I have more than 24 years of experience in local horticulture, including:

As a Certified Arborist, I know what trees grow well in the San Joaquin Valley, and, more importantly, I know what trees to avoid planting. I can offer advice on proper planting, pruning and care of trees. Please consider our feathered friends when you pruning trees. Here is a great web page from the Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek about protecting birds when you need to prune trees: http://www.wildlife-museum.org/livingwithwildlife/trees.php.

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES
I am on the Board of Directors of Fresno Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation, an all-volunteer, nonprofit, organization dedicated to caring for orphaned and/or injured native wildlife in our Central Valley.
I am Garden Consultant for the Clovis Botanical Garden, which is located on Clovis Avenue just north of Alluvial adjacent to Dry Creek Park. CBG promotes water conservation in the Central Valley by developing gardens, programs and exhibits to inspire and educate the public.
I am a Master Gardener (class of 2007). Currently I am the chair of the Landscape Tree Care Committee.
Besides my love of horticulture and all things green, I also love animals. My husband and I live in the Easton area and have rescued countless abandoned dogs and cats and have either adopted them ourselves or found a good home for them. I believe it is important for everyone to spay/neuter your pet, adopt animals from shelters and limit or outlaw breeders. We support theCat House on the Kings, California's largest no-cage, no-kill lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center.
We are also Sun Maid Raisin growers, so we encourage you to buy Sun Maid raisins for your next snack or baking opportunity!
